If you go into Avenue Park right now (Early March 2024) , you’ll see that the children’s playground area has been temporarily closed.
Work is underway to install new playground equipment.
At the same time, work is also underway to replace the Outdoor Gym. New pathways have been laid to the Gym area which has had a fence erected around it.
If all goes to plan, then both the playground and the gym will be open by late spring.
